Karlee Rowland shared her experiences as a participant in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp at the University of Minnesota Crookston Campus in July. She will be a junior at Park Rapids Area High School this fall and said she will use her new leadership skills as a member of the Student Council. Karlee said RYLA helped her break through her fear of public speaking and being on stage as well as improving her leadership and relationships, teaching her about her unique place in the world and helping her gain deeper self-awareness.
