Dustin Lof (left) was awarded the Cub Scout Wood Badge at the Park Rapids Rotary Club meeting Wednesday, Oct. 11. Holly Carlson, Wood Badge director, presented Dustin with a Wood Badge neckerchief, a leather woggle and a necklace with two wooden beads along with a certificate of completion as Paul Ravenburg (right), North Star Council representative, read the citation. Also participating in the ceremony was Jason Voss, Troup Guide. Dustin completed the five main areas of concentration to earn the Wood Badge: Living the Values, Bringing Vision to Life, Models of Success, Tools of the Trade and Leading to Make a Difference. In December 2015, the Park Rapids Rotary Club contributed $200 to assist Dustin in enrolling for the training. The club has supported Cub Scout Pack 58 for 70 years. The only Pack in the North Star Council that has a longer tenure than Pack 58 (840 months) is Pack 61 Staples, also sponsored by Rotary.
