The Park Rapids Rotary Club served lunch to approximately 250 teachers, administrators and staff as they returned for a new school year Monday, Aug. 26. Tom Conway, chair of the club’s School Relations Committee, spoke briefly about Rotary’s appreciation for what school staff do for the young people of our community. Rotarian Dan Pike spoke on Rotary’s many student-related activities, including inbound and outbound exchange students, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Student of the Month awards and the annual Rotary Scholarship. Lamb Weston/RDO donated a fryer, crew and french fries and Hugo’s Family Marketplace donated the hamburgers and other supplies.
